Eco-Friendly Packaging Policy
How Ekinyolu reduces the environmental impact of packaging across procurement, storage, handling, and delivery.

Purpose
This policy reflects Ekinyolu Petrol Urunleri Ins. Gida Basin Yayin Muh. San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti.'s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of packaging throughout our procurement, storage, handling, and delivery activities. As part of our broader sustainability approach, we aim to promote responsible packaging practices, reduce unnecessary material consumption, and encourage the use of environmentally preferable packaging solutions across our supply chain.

Scope
This policy applies to packaging materials used in the procurement, storage, handling, transportation, and delivery of products supplied or managed by Ekinyolu. It covers our internal operations as well as relevant suppliers and logistics partners involved in our supply activities.

Sustainable Packaging Materials
Where practical and appropriate for the product and delivery requirements, we encourage the use of packaging materials that are recyclable, reusable, or made from responsibly sourced materials. Preference may be given to materials such as recycled paper, cardboard, and other packaging solutions with lower environmental impact, provided that they meet the required quality, safety, durability, and product protection standards.

Reduction of Packaging Waste
We seek to avoid unnecessary packaging and reduce material consumption wherever this can be achieved without compromising product quality or safety. Packaging requirements will be considered during procurement and logistics planning, with the aim of selecting suitable packaging sizes and materials and avoiding excessive or redundant packaging.

Reuse and Recycling
Where operationally feasible, reusable packaging solutions will be considered to extend the useful life of packaging materials and reduce waste generation. We also encourage the segregation and appropriate recycling of packaging waste generated through our operations, subject to applicable local requirements and available recycling facilities.

Supplier and Partner Engagement
Ekinyolu will encourage suppliers and logistics partners to adopt responsible packaging practices and, where relevant, provide information regarding the environmental characteristics of their packaging materials. Environmental considerations may be taken into account when evaluating packaging alternatives and supplier solutions, alongside quality, cost, availability, and operational requirements.

Compliance with Applicable Standards
Packaging practices shall comply with applicable environmental, product safety, transportation, and regulatory requirements in the markets where we operate. Where relevant, suppliers may be requested to provide information or documentation demonstrating compliance with applicable environmental requirements and recognized standards.

Awareness and Communication
We aim to raise awareness among our employees, suppliers, and relevant business partners regarding responsible packaging practices. Where appropriate, packaging and handling instructions may include information on reuse, recycling, or proper disposal to support responsible end-of-life management.

Continuous Improvement
We recognize that sustainable packaging practices evolve with new materials, technologies, and market solutions. Ekinyolu will periodically review its packaging practices and consider opportunities to reduce material use, improve recyclability, increase reuse, and adopt more environmentally responsible alternatives where they are technically and commercially suitable. Feedback from employees, suppliers, customers, and business partners may also be considered when identifying opportunities for improvement.

Implementation and Monitoring
The implementation of this policy is supported by the relevant management and operational teams involved in procurement, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain activities. Relevant employees and business partners will be informed of applicable packaging requirements where necessary. Our practices will be periodically reviewed to identify compliance gaps and opportunities for further improvement.

Review and Updates
This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated when necessary to reflect changes in applicable regulations, sustainability practices, available technologies, and Ekinyolu's operational objectives.
